History

Hacienda Palo Blanco was built in 2003, it designed to be  a calm retreat from the world, where it is easy to find peace and harmony with yourself and nature. The beauty behind this colourful and unique Hacienda is its stunning contemporary colonial style.

The colours of the Hacienda were inspired from the indigenous Torote tree (elephant tree), which has a pale green smooth bark beneath a pale yellow, papery rough and peeling outer bark. The Hacienda was designed around the sea wind, summer and winter, the sun angles, the mountain winds and importantly, privacy. Texture was also a key element in the design, the rough and smooth exterior reflect the Spanish/ Moorish ancestry. Every room in the Hacienda has its own personality and history.
